An opportunity has arisen for technical sales professionals in the flexible packaging and printing industry to be based in Johannesburg.
The Technical Sales Professional should be a results-driven individual who actively seeks out and engages with customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
Present, promote and sell the full range of product ranges using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
Perform cost vs benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs, including cost in use value propositions.
Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
Reach potential customers through cold calling.
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within agreed customer target schedule.
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
Manage appropriate levels of stock holding in the sales region to meet customer sales.
Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports.
Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
Continuously improve through feedback.
Respond to technical problems and print processing issues holistically gathering all information throughout the print process and reporting thereof.
Key Performance Areas:
Sales Turnover - achieve individual sales of at least R550 000.00 per month by end of 2019.
Existing customer base - maintain business and call on existing customers at least once a fortnight. Existing Gauteng business is approx. R350 000 per month.
New customers - secure 6 new customers with a sale's spend of at least R60 000/month each by the end of 2019.
Provide management with a weekly call report, submitted on a Monday morning, detailing customers visited or phoned, products promoted, products required for trialing and pricing requests.
Provide customers with meeting minutes via e-mail and copy management in.
Trials - capture all details of trials on trial report form and send to management.
Technical call outs- Complete Tech call out report with all relevant print process information i.e. Material printed, machine make & Print conditions, cure process & conditions, Ink traceability information, collection of printed samples, collection of wet samples. To be sent to management within a reasonable timeframe.
